JS Bach's birthday weekend 2016

Saturday I went down to Philly to train.  Class was well attended.  Brian taught two takedowns from from a grip break to Russian tie to arm drag.  Then he covered a DLR guard pass.  Sam smashed me in our deathmatch after class.

Sunday Lori and I went to the Judo New York Open at the NYAC.  It was super fun.

Monday we deadlifted and Lori maxed out with 200 lbs.  I went to train that night, and we warmed up with double legs and then practiced the flower sweep.  Trained ok.  Good turnout and good class.

Brian cleared up some questions about passing half-guard after class.

Haiku 3/16/16 Princeton "Advanced" class

Judo or jitsu,
wrestlers should be destroyed,
she said.  I love her.

I trained six days in a row last week, and developed some tendinitis in my right elbow.  Totally worth it.

Monday 2/29/16 Princeton Gi

Decided to go to a Monday night class at Princeton BJJ, since I haven't been doing much at BCCC the last couple of weeks, and it was pretty ok.  I feel like I trained like shit and was frustrated with myself.  But that's what makes it jiu-jitsu.  The frustrating days are more motivating than the easy ones.

Saturday and Sunday, 2/27 - 2/28

Trained in Philly both days, lifted on Sunday, and it was really fun and good.  The end.

2/21/16 Sunday Open Mat Philly

I'm feeling uninspired this morning with regards to haikus.

Deadlifted with Brian and Eli, which was fun.

Open mat was fun, I trained a couple of times with Sam, with not much thought to working on anything in particular.  I feel like my top pressure game is coming back faster than my guard game.

Lori showed me a fun sasae variation I'm looking forward to trying.
